Description:
Restoration training (funded by NFWF, using materials from this project) was developed in partnership with USFS. Training was conducted on May 26-27, 2016 for 20 land managers on all aspects of meadow restoration, including: design, permitting, partnerships, fundraising, implementation, monitoring. Water supply monitoring methods and results developed with LCC funding were of interest to many. Training included on-the-ground pairing with mentors in the field and will establish relationships between land managers with limited experience and experts in meadow restoration. Included a post-workshop field component with students shadowed by mentors. Objective is to get on-the-ground projects going.
