NatureServe Explorer provides a source of information on more than 70,000 plants, animals, and ecosystems of the United States and Canada. Its focus is on rare and endangered species. It provides comprehensive conservation status, taxonomic, and distribution information for all native and exotic vascular plants, all vertebrates except for marine fishes, many invertebrate groups, and ecosystems in the United States and Canada.
