A Climate-Smart Riparian Restoration Curriculum
A curriculum designed and implemented by Point Blue Conservation Science's STRAW Program (Students and Teachers Restoring a Watershed), funded by the California Landscape Conservation Cooperative. The curriculum was developed with the help of 34 teachers from San Benito, Santa Clara, and Santa Cruz counties. The four-lesson program involves three classroom sessions and one restoration day where students carry out habitat restoration, working side-by-side with the staff from the STRAW Program.
Materials are offered for download to anyone wanting to duplicate or model on the curriculum for their own restoration education program. Please see the website for contact information.
