Abstract: 

The purpose of this document is to provide foundational information on the role of traditional knowledges (TKs) in federal climate change initiatives to the Advisory Committee on Climate Change and Natural Resource Science (ACCCNRS) on the principles of engaging with tribes on issues related to TKs and actions for federal agencies and tribes to consider in order to establish processes and protocols that govern the sharing and protection.
