Results of Survey About Metadata Needs

In 2012, Sonoma Ecology Center and the Climate Commons conducted a survey of metadata training and tool needs. The results are made available here (attached below) as a spreadsheet and a summary. There were over 80 responses, and the array of organizations is very broad, coming from across the country.

We learned the following:
- People want help with Arc Catalog 10.x
- People want more information about alternative tools to help them decide what to use
- Online webinar-style training sessions would be more accessible to most people than an in-person training session

Trainings are being designed with these requirements in mind and will be offered in the first quarter of 2013. They will be advertised on the CA LCC listserv and to the email addresses of everyone who responded to the survey.
