Fort Mason can be accessed via a number of Muni routes: 28R 19th Avenue Rapid, 28 19th Avenue, 30 Stockton, 30X Marina Express, 47 Van Ness and the 49 Van Ness/Mission.
Shared Rides Ride-share apps such as Lyft or Uber provide carpool options, and are a great alternative to driving to the event alone.
Driving Directions From the East Bay Take the Bay Bridge to Fremont Street Exit; on Fremont (100 yards north) take first right on Howard; left on Embarcadero. Continue for two miles; take a left on Bay Street and continue, about two miles.
From the Peninsula/South Bay Take US 101 North to 9th Street Exit; follow 9th Street across Market Street and take a left on Hayes Street. Continue on Hayes Street and take a right on Franklin Street; about two miles.
From the North Bay Take US 101 South across the Golden Gate Bridge to the Maria Boulevard Exit. Continue on Marina Boulevard for about 1.5 miles.
Lower Fort Mason Parking: Parking is limited and fees may increase on high-attendance dates. Overnight parking is not permitted. Parking fees are in effect from 7:00 a.m. - midnight daily.
Weekday Parking Rates
Upper Fort Mason/General's Residence Parking: Parking in Upper Fort Mason is free, with 2-hour and 4-hour limits as signed.
Lower Fort Mason Parking Lot to Upper Fort Mason/General's Residence: If you are traveling from lower Fort Mason to upper Fort Mason by car you will need to exit the lot heading east on Marina and follow along the outside of Fort Mason to Bay and Franklin where you can enter upper Fort Mason. If you are traveling from lower Fort Mason to upper Fort Mason on foot you can walk through the Great Meadow toward Building 201 (large 4 story building), and head past Building 201 and the Chapel on your way to the General's Residence.
Hotels There are a number of hotels in San Francisco's Fishermen's Wharf and on Lombard Street that are in close proximately to the summit venue. All offer government rates to federal employees. Some options include:
